Hula Hooping Has Evolved...

Jozette inside her illusionistic LED orb!
...into a unique and beautiful form of
flowing athletic dance!
The activity of "Hoop Dance" or "Hooping" involves hula hooping with large customized dance hoops on multiple parts of the body. The hoops that Jozette uses are handcrafted by her using plastic tubing and various tapes that add design and help to grip the body. Since these hoops are more sturdy and larger than the common hula hoop found in a store, they are much easier to get the hang of, and gain a new level of control. Men, women, and children of any age, shape or size will find they can keep it going and have a blast!..all the while transforming their bodies and challenging thier minds!
The dance part of hooping tends to come naturally when you become comfortable with the hoop and develop what is often referred to as "flow". This means to be totally free within the hoop, not having to plan your next move, simply reacting to the music! Jozette likes to keep dance in the minds of her students, encouraging them to let loose within the hoop, and incorporate dance steps using the arms and legs. This makes everyone forget that they are exercising at all!
People have been hooping around the world for centuries in one way or another using this simple object, but the new form of modern hooping has only taken off in the past two decades. Lately, more and more people are noticing the incredible benefits that are achieved through hooping regularly!
